Make Yourself a Little Bit Famous: How to power up your profile and get known for what you do

Out on Tuesday 5th November!

No matter what you do, or who you are, if you want to get known, liked and trusted, you simply have to ‘get out there more’.  Depending on what you want to achieve, you will have a number of audience types you want to attract, impress and influence – your customers, clients, colleagues, candidates, investors, policy makers…

But where do you start and what does ‘good’ look like? Well, you could consider one, or all, of these areas of profile-raising activity:

  • Speaking at meetings or conference and industry events.

  • Taking part in panel discussions, or moderating them.

  • YOUR media: Making videos on your smartphone.

  • THE media: Appearing on TV and radio.

  • Using social media in a way that engages people.

But given this type of activity isn’t something most of us flock to willingly, it’s easy to ignore and push to the back of our mind. It isn’t seen as ‘mission critical’ to our everyday projects and commitments either, so we fail to make it a priority or form a conscious plan to make it happen. My book will help you with that.

On top of which, let’s be honest, we’re not always confident that we’ll say the right thing or entirely convinced that won’t look like an idiot. We worry we’ll be branded a show-off or get found out for not being expert enough. What a tangle!

But you are not alone. I see these issues coming up time and time again for my clients. So, whatever your level of experience, this book puts you on a clear path to success, giving you full and practical help. It’s ‘why you should’, and ‘how you could’, Make Yourself a Little Bit Famous!

A spoonful of my own medicine

It’s all very well me going on about ‘getting out there’ and telling you how to be brilliant if you’re on a panel, or speaking or if you get asked to go on TV and radio. But I’ve got to get my head around raising my own profile...
