Event Host & Moderator

I know it. You know it. A well organised event falls flat on its face if the host isn’t very good. They stumble over their words, lack personality and end up sucking the life out of your well-planned event.

It can cost you your reputation as an organiser and the golden opportunity to engage people with your key messages, your mission or your brand, as well as jeopardise sponsorship or internal backing and buy-in for next time.

The problem arises when this role is an after-thought. Perhaps you’ve got some budget left after paying speakers and then scramble to find a pro-MC/conference hosts, or you hope and pray that the internal person will be OK. And yes, that can work out – but it is a gamble.

When I’m at the helm of an event it becomes memorable, enjoyable and slick. Your audience is engaged and your speakers raise their game. People talk about it and hit social media as a result.
